34 Weeks

The past 34 weeks has flown by! This week we had a doctors appointment, which just consisted of talking to the doctor for a few minutes. She said that our  next appointment in two weeks starts our weekly appointments, when they will check my cervix every time. Fun. The only change in the past few weeks has been some swelling (mostly in my feet and some in my hands), and one day a week ago my feet swelled A LOT really fast so I was kinda worried until I got to a pharmacy where I could check my blood pressure, and everything was fine. My belly is getting BIG and I am starting to get excited to lose it. 

 

My friend (who is due a few days before me) and I went to a breastfeeding class this past week. It was very informative (since I knew basically nothing before I went), but it was also pretty terrifying and made breastfeeding sound pretty awful, at least at first. The next two weeks my husband and I are going to attend some prenatal classes about labor and delivery and newborn care, all of which we really know nothing about, lol.

  It is starting to feel VERY real!

Baby Shower #2 - So Spoiled!

Today was my second baby shower (one more to go, but that one is just for people from work). I got another whole car load of baby gifts! We got LOTS of clothes in all sizes, and pretty decent amount of diapers, wipes, creams, and bath stuff, and a few big items like (another) boppy and a bouncer seat (which we we trading in for a swing, we already got a perfectly good bouncer seat used from a friend). We got some gift cards, but I think mostly what we got today is clothes. This kid will never have to repeat an outfit! No laundry for mom! :)

My friends decorated our family's church and got the cutest cake, they really did spoil me today! I also got a visit from the local florist, because my husband had a bouquet of flowers sent to me right at the baby shower :) What a guy.

32 Weeks - 3D Ultrasound

We are 32 weeks, and today we had our 32 week appointment which included a 3D ultrasound. This was the first appointment we have had in almost 5 weeks. Next appointment is only TWO WEEKS away! Then two more weeks after that, and from 36 weeks on we go EVERY SINGLE WEEK. I can't imagine! Our ultrasound was less than thrilling...our baby stays curled up in a tight ball with one hand in front of her face constantly. The only times she didn't have her hand blocking her whole face, she had it in her mouth. The whole fist.

I finally feel like I am definitely looking unmistakably pregnant! So my husband is having a good time rubbing all over my belly and talking to the baby, lol. I also got a little bit of a kick in the butt from the nesting bug and hung some of the wall art we bought for the nursery. We really are in the final stretch now!
